Midwest Glass Fabricators now proudly provides insulated glass developed on its newest Forel insulating line

Materials include:

Min Thickness: .48 OA Max Thickness: 3.14 OA Max

Units under 1" overall default to 1/8" Glass. 1" overall or thicker, default glass thickness is 1/4". If a different thickness is required, it must be stated on the purchase order.

If no coating is specified on the purchase order standard hard coat will be used.

Float Glass

DISCLAIMER:

 

Float glass is the finest glass commercially available today. It is made in a continuous ribbon close to one mile long in length and according to government specifications (#DD-G-451C) contains certain flaws, such as bubbles, seeds, scratches, distortions, etc... Although this is a simplification, the specification says that if a flaw on glass cannot be seen in normal room lighting from a distance of eleven feet the glass is considered to be perfect.

We want to provide our customers with the best product quality available, therefore, we want to make our customers aware of any potential flaws that can occur in the product, so as to avoid any dissatisfaction.

Due to supply issues, laminated glass orders using SGP may have the interlayer substituted with a different Ionoplast interlayer. If you have any question or would like product data, please contact: 

MWGF Now features both a laminating clave and horizontal laminating can system in our state of the art laminating facility. Already sgcc approved in 1/4 over 3/16​

MWGF has already delivered several canopies and guardrails with our new line.

At Midwest Glass Fabricators, we have the capability of tempering glass in many thicknesses and sizes, and we are the only facility in Michigan with three on-site tempering ovens. Having three ovens in our Michigan facility allows Midwest Glass Fabricators to meet the lead times that our customers have come to expect.
